At the beginning of May 2024, I spent four days in northern Germany on the Peene river, the Amazon of the North. If you want to experience almost untouched nature, the Peene is well worth a trip.

In May 2023 I paddled 17 km / 10 mi down the Schwentine between Plön and Preetz in Germany. Besides windy lakes, there were also idyllic river arms with crystal clear water to discover.

In the summer of 2021 I was on a multi-day paddling trip with my packraft on the Ems river in northern Germany. Unfortunately, I had to break off the tour early, but I was still able to collect some impressions and would like to share them.

In this post, I’ll compare the two packrafts Anfibio Rebel 2K and MRS Nomad S1 Light. Both are excellent boats for different use cases but are equally good regarding comfort and quality.
